Direct mail isn't dead: route-level tracking proves it

The reason most contractors quit direct mail is not that it fails — it is that they cannot tell whether it worked.

Put a distinct tracking number on each carrier-route drop and the fog lifts: cost per call, per neighborhood, per season. Keep the routes that pay, cut the ones that do not.
